Carne Golf Links
Carne Golf Links situated on the west coast of Ireland is one of the country’s newer links courses, it was constructed by the community owned Turasoireacht Iorrais (Erris Tourism) which was set up to boost and develop tourism in North Mayo.
The well know links designer Eddie Hackett was invited on board to lay out the 18 hole links course at Carne Golf Club and Carne Golf Links has the privilege of being the last links course to be designed by Eddie Hackett. The added extra 9 holes known as The Kilmore 9 were opened in 2013.
Also known as Belmullet, Carne Golf Links is a hidden gem of superb standard and was ranked number 17 in Ireland by Golf Digest in 2012. With spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and set against the backdrop of Blacksod Bay the introduction of the golf course at Carne Golf Club has caused very little intrusion to the natural and ancient landscape.
