County Louth Golf Club / Baltray Golf Club
Located at the end of Baltray village 4 miles north of Drogheda town and approx 45 minutes drive from Dublin City, County Louth Golf Club, known locally as Baltray Golf Club due to its location, is ranked number 8 in the Top 100 Courses in Ireland 2014 by Golf Digest and was also rated Best Links Course in Leinster by Golfers Guide to Ireland 2012.
County Louth Golf Club is positioned on 190 acres of seaside links land and it is considered by many to be one of the most enjoyable courses in Ireland. Impacted by the River Boyne to the South and the Irish/Manx Sea to the East, County Louth Golf Club has many beautiful holes and afterwards you can relive the game in the clubhouse where you will be offered a warm welcome.
Liam Murphy, General Manager, County Louth Golf Club
Established in 1892, the 18 hole golf course at County Louth Golf Club, locally referred to as Baltray Golf Club, remains largely unchanged from the design laid out by renowned course architect Tom Simpson in 1938. The course has two nine hole loops. A remarkable feature of the layout as it winds its way through the dunes is that the player seldom feels that any two holes play in exactly the same direction.
