During our Irish golf trip, we played Waterville, Dooks, Tralee, Ballybunion, Doonbeg and Lahinch over six days. After playing all the courses, we rated Dooks golf course as the one that we could play every day and not get tired of playing the course. The golf course is challenging but did not beat you up if you missed the fairway. The 10th hole was our favorite hole with the 18th a close second. The views from the 5th hole were some of the best views during our trip. The clubhouse at Dooks Golf Club serves an excellent seafood chowder. We liked the golf course so much that we decided to play another 9 holes after our lunch. If you are planning on playing golf in the SW of Ireland then plan on playing at Dooks Golf Club.

My son in law wanted to play some Irish golf while we were in Ireland, my daughter booked us in at Dooks Golf Club as it was near where we were staying. They could not have been more friendly, sorted out hire clubs and did us a great deal. Dooks Golf Club Even helped my brother out who had left his golf shoes at Liverpool airport. The golf course is very challenging especially with it being a links golf course and the day we played very windy. Would love to play it again if only to improve my score and not in the wind.
