Hook Peninsula

Irish National Heritage Park
Stretching across 35 acres the Irish National Heritage Park offers visitors a unique insight into the lives of our Irish ancestors and Ireland’s heritage over a period of 9,000 years. Situated just outside of Wexford Town, the Irish National Heritage Park has on show 16 historically accurate reconstructions of homes and farms along with places of ritual and worship all surrounded by nature and unspoiled landscape. Johnstown Castle

The gardens were designed by Daniel Robertson who also designed the exquisite Powerscourt Gardens. With a wide range of shrubs and trees, charming pathways and two lakes the grounds offer pleasing walks in natural surroundings. This Castle in Wexford Ireland is managed by the Irish Heritage Trust and visitors are welcome to enjoy the walks at the castle lakeside with its Gothic tall towers, waterfall and statues.
Enniscorthy
Located on the banks of the River Slaney, Enniscorthy, the second largest town in County Wexford Ireland, has a varied history traceable back to the year 465. Visitors are invited to relax and enjoy the picturesque town or avail of the many possibilities for activities and sites to see in County Wexford. Points of interest In Enniscorthy include St Aidan’s Cathedral designed in 1847 by AWN Pugin who also worked on the Houses of Parliament in London.
New Ross
Situated on the banks of the River Barrow in the southwest of Wexford Ireland is the modern town of New Ross. The town makes an ideal location for day trips to the beach, fishing and visiting the splendid coast line of County Wexford Ireland. New Ross is also within easing driving distance of Wexford town (37km or 23 miles) Enniscorthy Town (30km or 21 miles), Waterford City (24km or 15 miles) and Kilkenny (43km or 27 miles).
Wexford Town
Founded in the late 8th - early 9th century by the Vikings Wexford Town is the county town of County Wexford Ireland. Situated on the south side of Wexford Harbour the town remained in the hands of the Vikings for approximately 300 years. A welcoming and lively town with a variety of pubs and restaurants Wexford town is also in close proximity to beautiful beaches and coastal travelling routes and is a great base for exploring the County of Wexford.
