Tralee Golf Club – A Top Inclusion on Ireland Golf Vacations to the South West

Established in 1896 Tralee Golf Club (known locally as Barrow) was originally a nine hole course located 7 miles away from where it is situated today. In the 1980’s  Club members decided to design the 18 hole Tralee Golf Course where it is now at Barrow and after renowned course architect Arnold Palmer came on board the members dream of seeing Tralee Golf Club gain world wide acclaim is now a reality.

Today Tralee Golf Club is arguably one of the most appealing links courses in the world, with welcoming and experienced staff and an ocean view at every hole, Tralee Golf Course is a must play for anyone on Ireland golf vacations to the southwest of Ireland.

“I may have designed the first nine, but surely God designed the back nine”   –  Arnold Palmer, Tralee Golf Course Designer

Tralee golf course is incredibly beautiful … it’s astride an estuary and is shall I say it ‘American-style’ despite being in Ireland. The fairways are generous … the greens very putt-able … in a word … it’s a beautiful place to play. Of course, there will be ‘weather’ … winds … and you’ll need to wear 4 layers … but heck … you’re in Ireland playing a lovely course … pinch yourself … this must be heaven. Well done … Arnold you’ve made a fair and beautiful links course at Tralee Golf Club … thanks!

Tralee Golf Club have  a great golf course with stunning views, very well maintained course that was very playable, great staff. Will go back to Tralee golf course again.

Tralee Golf Course is an Arnold Palmer course done perfectly, right on the Atlantic Ocean complete with castles worked into it. It really doesn’t get any better in a links course than this. The vistas from the course are almost mindboggling they are so beautiful. The course itself is maintained to the nth degree. Wind and rain happen in Ireland, but do not let that deter you from a round at Tralee Golf Club one of the world’s great courses.
